Our Summer Sweeper season kicked off on Wednesday night, and the race to the season-long $1000 prize is underway! Bowlers were challenged in week number one with the Kegel Beaten Path pattern. We chose to start on this pattern as it is a medium difficulty shot that challenged the bowlers to move left as the lower volume burned up!
We welcomed 35 bowlers to the event where their first three games of qualifying were a battle to make the first cut to the top-18. That hard-fought cut number was 585, as 10 bowlers were within just 30 pins of making that cut! Battling through the elimination rounds to top-9 and top-4, our finalists for the night were (L to R in picture) Andrew Loose, Dennis Schoberg, Kevin Degner, and Mike Hungelmann. Through seven frames, it was anyone's game, but then Dennis caught fire as he had the previous round to put the pedal down and take the victory for the night! Congratulations Dennis! Mike captured 2nd, Andrew was 3rd, and in his first ever sweeper appearance, Kevin took 4th. Congratulations guys!
With the victory, Dennis jumps out to an early lead in the season standings!

This season, we have a new feature for bowlers if they want to get in some practice before the event, as we will put the shot out the Tuesday before and you can bowl all you want for just $15!
